Correct
The dog shows fear and submission. It looks away with small eyes, completely flattened ears and with the lips drawn back. It crouches down and hides its tail to suppress its own body odour. the dog tries to appear small and harmless to its opponent. We can't say whether the dog is going through an identity crisis, but its unlikely animals suffer from them. We should try not to be anthropomorphic, or humanize the animal, when describing its behaviour.
